Documents Required For Opening a Demat Account

Like bank account, Investor has to submit few document at the time of opening the Demat Account. Along with the application form that can be collected from any DP, investor has to submit the copies of any one of the approved documents to serve as proof of identity (POI) and proof of address (POA) as specified by SEBI. PAN Card is mandatory that has to submit by the investor along with the 2 photos and other documents. Usually Investors submit the following documents at the time of opening a Demat Account.

• Pan Card
• Driving Licence or Passport or Voter ID card
• 2 Passport Size photograph

The documents mentioned above should be attested and photos should be self signed at the time of submitting the document for opening a Demat Account.
